Clinical Research for Liver Disease and Transplantation

Patients come to have their transplant at Northwestern Memorial for many reasons, one of which is the world class transplant clinical research program. Northwestern Memorial has a history of commitment to the study and treatment of patients with diseases of the liver. Our faculty surgeons, medical hepatologists and research coordinators work together to study liver diseases through clinical research trials to ensure the best care possible for our patients. Several members of our faculty hold nationally competitive research grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
